Tara is an accomplished specialist in the field
of economic development, enterprise and innovation and has over 12
years experience of project management, evaluation, research and
business development across the public and private sector.
Tara can
provide comprehensive business and strategic advice at various
stages of project development, from bidding for funds on behalf of
high-risk, early stage start-ups to developing longer term growth
strategies. Tara’s experience awarding public grants provides

access funding or develop projects to maximize value. Tara can

regional and national strategies, whilst strengthening projects to
fit specific funders requirements.
Tara’s

development and regeneration; enterprise and innovation; European
funding; public sector; education; social enterprise and the Third
sector.
THEN
Tara started her career working in operations
for a start-up manufacturing company in Hampshire, before moving
to London and joining the Foreign and Commonwealth Office where
she developed her skills in research. Tara extended these skills
in the City, researching loan syndication/trade finance
opportunities with large multinationals at the Bank of Montreal
and pan-European SMEs for asset managers Zurich Scudder
Threadneedle.
Tara
applied her research, analysis and financial skills at SEEDA,
where she previously spent the last 5 years setting up and
developing the Business Grants team, incorporating DTI grants
Selective Finance for Investment in England (SFIE) and Grant for
Research & Development. During her time at SEEDA, Tara assessed
hundreds of applications for technologically innovative R&D
leading to commercialization and business start-ups / expansions
in areas of low economic productivity and high unemployment.
