NOW
For the past 10 years Alan has been operating in the fields of
partnership and business development and has secured significant
amounts of external funding to support project activity. He has
managed projects helping disadvantaged people to gain access to
employment and learning, and has been used to working with
organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to
support lifelong learning, social inclusion and economic
development. He is also used to helping organisations with
strategy development, and in undertaking research and evaluation
work.
THEN
For four years Alan worked as a Business Development Manager with
a Southampton based charity and worked closely with Southampton
City Council in developing wider initiatives to help local people
and businesses. Previously he managed a regeneration programme to
support the Renaissance of Portsmouth Harbour and to gain
advantage for local people from developments across South East
Hampshire. Earlier, he was a Human Resources specialist for many
years, working for household names such as Unilever, British Gas,
Prudential and the Halifax.
