Wessex Partnerships and CHAIN partners invite you to join us for two days of international exchanges and conviviality in Brittany on 11-13 February 2014.

CFIA ( is the largest annual industrial and technical event in France, representing all sectors and trades of food processing. There are 1,300 exhibitors covering three areas: Ingredients & Processed foods, Equipment & Processes, Packing & Conditioning. If you are involved in food technology, food production, sales, marketing, or R&D, this event is not to be missed!

Our Programme includes:

  • Business Convention at the Exhibition on stand A15 - 1-2-1 meetings organised with a range of French businesses, from 10.00am on Tuesday 11th February
  • Appointments arranged with relevant companies to optimise your time
  • Fluent French / English speakers at your service
  • Visit to the BDI stand (Hall 10 - A29/B 32) for a demonstration of the use of virtual reality in the food industry; 3-D printing used in a biscuit factory
  • Visit to the Maupertuis Institute specialising in automated food platforms and speciality tinned food production
  • Visit to Breizpack to learn about innovative packaging
  • Evening dinner on Tuesday 11th February in the city of Rennes with UK and French businesses, commencing 7.30pm


You will be fully briefed before the event, chaperoned throughout the visit and assisted in meeting company representatives that are relevant to you.

You can choose to travel to CFIA either by air from Stansted or overnight ferry from Portsmouth.

CFIA takes place on a dedicated exhibition park near Rennes airport. 

You only need to pay for travel to France and accommodation - event facilitation, visits, networking dinner and exhibition entry is free.
