Smart Cities and Communities
The European Commission has launched a call for proposals under its Smart Cities and Communities Programme. The programme incorporates related topics such as energy efficiency, energy networks and renewable energy.
A total of €40 million is available for projects that replicate successful solutions by bringing together cities with similar frameworks ambitions. The projects should look to;
- Enhance this replication potential
- Ensure an EU-wide impact of the measures
- Facilitate the exchange of knowledge, from at least three Member States and/or Associated Countries must participate in the programme.
Financial support will be given to proposals that have the potential to help cities to substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions in an innovative and integrative manner.
